February's Reception

We had a good turnout on Valentine's Day for our February Artists Reception. It marked the introduction to Mark & Kristi Gonzalez, owners of Bridal Veil Winery, who will offer free daily wine tasting in the gallery starting in March. They joined us over the weekend to offer samples of their wines and sell wine by the glass and by the bottle.




 
 
Mark and Kristi will also share the story behind their new venture in a free presentation - "The Marriage of Art and Wine"  - on Sunday, March 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the gallery. The presentation is free but registration is required. To register, email donnasansonartworks@comcast.net.
 
 
In addition to wine, there was an abundance of chocolate at this reception, with the big hit being a decadent chocolate covered chocolate chip cookie dough delight made by Bert Cohen; and guests were treated to their choice of either a white or yellow rose to  celebrate the special occasion. February Featured Shows - Member and Guests

 

Both exhibits for February follow the theme, "Love Is In The Air," and feature 8"x 8" images with a sense of romance, love, or beauty.

Member artists Linda Baker, Alex Boyden, Rae Campbell, Sandy Dutko, Peggy Harkins, Gretha Lindwood, Pam Nichols, Kris Paul, and Donna Sanson all have at least one 8x8 in the exhibit located in the main gallery. Works include acrylic, clay, collage, encaustic, glass, oil, pastel, and watercolor.

The reception to celebration both group shows will take place on Saturday, February 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy complimentary wine tasting by Bridal Veil Winery and an assortment of chocolates goodies. Grab a date and spend part of your Valentine Day surrounding by beautiful artwork by local artists.
