Art On Broadway will once again offer our Silent Auction - a chance to buy original artwork at great savings. Jewelry items by Bert Cohen, paintings by Donna Sanson, and wooden sculptures by Peggy Harkins are just some of the works included. The gallery remains open until 9 p.m. The auction closes at 8:30 p.m. Come by and place a bid!
The Streetscape Project is nearing completion with trees in place and the brick plaza area already being used for seating and outdoor dining. Thai High 5, Gloria's Secret Cafe, and Chuck's Substation have set out cafe tables and chairs and businesses are lining the street with greenery and flowering plants. The transformation offers a pleasant space to sit, stroll, shop, dine - and on First Fridays enjoy the live musical performances.
In addition to the new businesses in the Holland Plaza Center - Tulen Center for martial arts and self defense, and Moontalla's gifts and accessories - two other businesses have opened this summer. Be sure to check out Ambrosia Boutique at Farmington and Angel; owner Brenda Currier would love to show you the gently used "wears" and "wares" her store has to offer. At the corner of 1st and Main discover the newest health and beauty salons in the downtown - Tamara Sullivan recently opened Dulcederm at 12825 SW 1st Street and shares the space with building mate, Breathe Bodywork. Stop by all these businesses on First Friday and make their owners feel welcome.
