Call To Artists - Deadline Extended

Area Artists (2D, 3D, Jewelry):  I wanted to be sure you all are aware of an opportunity to show and sell your work at an upcoming event in Beaverton. The city and the Beaverton Downtown Association (501c3 nonprofit) are sponsoring a "Cultural Art & Tasting Walk" on October 14. They have plans to partner artists, wineries, and businesses located in the historic downtown for this event. They asked Art On Broadway to participate and help contact and register artists; our members will also make up the jury panel along with staff from the arts commission and we will display the top fifteen entries in our gallery for the month of October. The great thing about this event is that there is no fee to enter; however, registration is just around the corner.

Interested artists should go to www.artonbroadway.net  and click on our "Call To Artists" page. Details for entering and the application are posted there. The deadline for entering has been extended to September 11 at 11 a.m. Please read the terms carefully. 

Quick Overview:  The jury panel will make its selections from actual artwork on September 11. All artwork will be delivered to Art On Broadway Gallery, 12570 SW Broadway Street, Beaverton in the morning and picked up the same day in the afternoon after the jury has met. The 15 artists whose work is selected for display in the gallery will need to provide a quality photo image for publicity and return the artwork for installation on Monday, October 2. The top 15, along with all artists whose work is juried into the event will be partnered with a participating business for the art walk on October 14. Members of the BDA will coordinate artist/business partnerships. Any sales that occur that day outside of the gallery will be commission free. However, 30% commission will be charged on sales of work selected for display in the gallery for the month of October. 

Note:  No fee to enter and no commission on sales you make on October 14. Carefully read the "Terms" listed on our Call to Artists registration form and follow the directions.
