Art On Broadway is pleased to be one of several select venues to exhibit six works of art from the Painted Violins Project to benefit the Portland Youth Philharmonic. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to PYP musicians. The six violins shown above will be on exhibit at the gallery from April 4 through April 15, and will be celebrated at our Artists Reception on Saturday, April 6, from 6-9 p.m. Our receptions are always free and open to the public.

The Board for PYP invited eighteen renowned West Coast artists and three PYP musicians to transform violins into works of art. While several of these unique works of violin art will be live auctioned at the Painted Violin Gala, most are available for purchase in advance. At the conclusion of the scheduled public viewings, the Project will culminate with a live auction on April 19, 2013 at the Painted Violin Gala at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland. The gala will feature an auction, dinner, and a performance by Camerata PYP. Please contact the PYP office at 503.223.5939 for details and pricing, and be sure you schedule a visit to the gallery to see these violins in person.
