Art On Broadway will once again remain open until 9 p.m. to give visitors plenty of time to bid on the wonderful selection of Silent Auction artwork created by our member artists. The auction starts at 5 p.m., and continues until 8:30 when bidding closes and sales are finalized. Place your bids early, then stop by often to see if you still have the highest bid on your item(s) of choice. This is a great way to start collecting original art or to add to your existing collection. Don't forget - the holiday season is fast approaching and your art-loving family members and friends would be thrilled to receive a truly unique gift this year! The watercolor image below of "Lovers Point, Pacific Grove CA" will be one of the pieces available for bidding on October 4.

October 4 is the final First Friday of the 2013 season in downtown Beaverton. The special event planned for the month is a Doggie Dress Up Contest. Visitors are encouraged to dress their family pet in an elaborate costume and stroll throughout the downtown. A doggie information area will be set up in the parking lot behind the Peddler's Pack on Watson with representatives from grooming, vet, and pet supply companies on hand. Between 6:30 and 7 p.m., judges will select the Best of Show, and the owners will win an original drawing of their costumed dog created by Art On Broadway artist, Donna Sanson.
