If you're interested in the work of Georgia O'Keeffe and her Santa Fe artists friends, we invite you to join us on a day trip to the Tacoma Art Museum on Tuesday, May 19. We will take the train to Tacoma and walk to the museum which is located at 1701 Pacific Avenue. Their phone number is 253.272.4258 and their admission fee is, "under $10." Museum hours are 10 to 5 p.m.

The title of the show is "Eloquent Objects: O'Keeffe and Still Life Art in New Mexico." TAM also exhibits glass works by Dale Chihuly and we should have time to spend exploring this section of the museum. We'll stop for lunch either in the museum's café or at a restaurant in the area.

We can also include a visit to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, located at 1801 Dock Street near the train station. Admission to this museum is $15 for adults, $12 for senior 62+, and $13 for AAA members. .

Plans are to meet at Union Station in downtown Portland and ride up on the train as a group, but you are more than welcome to drive up and meet the group in the lobby of TAM. I will check out the train schedule and notify anyone who preregisters which train we plan to take. Deadline to preregister is Saturday, May 16. Send an email to donnasansonartworks@Comcast.net if you're interested.
